Kara Guindin
Hi, I’m Kara! College can bring both exciting opportunities and overwhelming stress. Sometimes past experiences or unresolved trauma make it even harder to manage the pressures of academics, relationships, and figuring out your future. If you’ve ever felt stuck, anxious, or like your emotions are “too much,” you’re not alone.
I specialize in trauma therapy using EMDR and Somatic Experiencing, two evidence-based approaches that help your mind and body process painful experiences so you don’t have to stay stuck in the past. My work is also grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other trauma-informed, attachment-based models.
Together, we’ll work to help you understand and manage stress, anxiety, and depression, heal from relationship wounds or painful past experiences, build resilience and expand your capacity to handle life’s ups and downs, and feel more grounded, confident, and connected.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDR Certified, and have completed 3 years of training with the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. My approach is collaborative, holistic, and tailored to your needs.
If you’d like to learn more, I offer a free 20-minute consultation. Reach out by phone or email- I’d love to connect with you.
